The Capture Pod is a consumable tool crafted at the Pet Station. They are used to capture (I.E. tame) wild beasts, turning them into Pets.

Usage

Capture Pods can be used by first damaging a creature below 50% of its maximum health, and then throwing the pod at it. Capture Pods can be used again if you miss the first time. After the monster is caught a Filled Capture Pod will be obtained, which will release the monster if thrown. In order to retrieve the monster the player can use the ball again to call it back inside.

If the monster has died, you must use a creature healing station.

Trivia

• The way capture pods are used seem to resemble Poké balls in Pokémon, as the player has to damage the monster to make it easy to capture.
• Pets captured by the Capture Pod can be retrieved by using the Capture Pod to the corresponding creature, dropping the Capture Pod, or throwing out a different creature
• Though they are relatively expensive for new players, they can be farmed from the Erchius Mining Facility, as they very commonly spawn in the end chest.
