The Red Apple is an unfarmable food item which can be purchased at the Terramart for 20 pixels each or from the Chef of a Chef Spawner. It can be eaten to heal a minor portion of the player's health, or used in Advanced Cooking to create items such as Candy Apples and Apple Crumble. Upon purchasing the apple, the player will automatically learn the recipe for Candy Apples.
