Sector X is the sector that comes directly after the Delta Sector and is the final sector. It is accessible after you activate the Durasteel upgrade and the planet difficulties vary from 5-10. Sector X also adds a new type of fuel: Solarium. This fuel is much more efficient than Uranium or Plutonium. It can only be found in the X Sector, nowhere else.
Differences:
The biggest difference in Sector X that sets it apart from the rest is the varying threat level planets, where as in Beta you with only find threat level 2 planets. These planets prove to be very dangerous to new players who are not equipped with the right tools. Many monsters will be able to kill you in as little as three shots if you are not aided by a friend who has given you better armor. In the most recent update, pvp is activated while in multiplayer.
Materials:
There are many materials that can be found throughout Sector X such as Solarium, Aegisalt, Ferozium, Cerulium, Violium, and Impervium. Many of these new materials function similarly to steel, they must be crafted together by using a certain resource and coal at a Metalworking Station. An example is Ferozium, which is a combination of Aegisalt and coal, Violium is Cerulium and coal, and Impervium is Rubium and coal.
