"Without purpose, we would not exist."~Agent Smith

Introduction

Hi, I'm Macks2010, though I generally go by Twisted Code. I've been with this wiki for a few years now, though I mostly made small edits. That is, until about a month prior to this writing, when I again decided to start being active, and was disappointed that there didn't seem to be anyone running the show, so to speak. Long story short, I brought this up to Moviesign, our friendly Fandom Wiki Manager, we talked for a bit on how the main page could best be improved, and he decided I might be the best fit to take over the helm in the absence of the previous three, now inactive, admins. To be frank, I'm somewhat flattered by this, as I never really thought myself to be the wiki-admin type; although I have a good bit of experience with the general workflow of wikis (and even know a bit of web development), most of my edits on other wikis tend to be pretty small, as I don't want to accidentally break something. Then again, if the state of this wiki currently is anything to go by, a bit of bold editing might do it a lot of good. On that note, if you see anything that seems out of place, don't hesitate to try and fix it yourself, or, if you're really not sure what to do about it, feel free to let me know by one of the contact methods below, and I'll see what I can do.

About me

first and absolutely foremost, I am a Christian. Please try to respect that. It shouldn't be relevant anyway, since I try to be tolerant and rational whenever possible; you need only know that it, in conjunction with The Egg (by Andy Weir), affects my worldview considerably. Just as long as you're not some hyper-atheist, we should be able to get along fine.

Secondly, if you couldn't tell from my activity on a certain other wiki, I'm a brony, as has been the case since roughly 2011 when a church youth group member I shall simply refer to as ZW hinted (but did not out right say or, perhaps, even intend to hint) that he was also a brony. He had said/sung a line from a brony-authored song and, although I had no idea what it was or where the rabbit hole would take me, I had heard the line before and decided to follow the lead. One Google later, I found the song, a fanfiction, and concluded that because that fanfiction is quite dark, there must be more to the show than "girly girly blah". Fast-forward. I've been in that fandom for about 10 years now, and although I'm much less active now that G4 is over (and for what it's worth, I was never one of those "in-your-face" sorts of bronies. beyond casual suggestions that people might like the show, I'm pretty much at "You like what you like, and I'll like what I like."), I'm still very much a fan of the wonderful universe Lauren Faust inspired full of colorful equines.

Thirdly, as I hinted at in the introduction, I'm a bit of a computer geek. Besides web development, I'm also seeking to earn a bachelor's in Information Technology with an Advanced Software Development certificate (tentative graduation in 2022). A lot of this is because I've always been fascinated by video games (starting with Super Mario World), and always wanted to make my own. I eventually broadened that interest to general software development, but I most likely will focus on game development after I earn the degree.

Finally, I am effectively quadriplegic: though I have some use of my arms at least, due to the exact level of my injury, my fingers don't function well enough to use a keyboard and I use my computer primarily by trackball mouse and typing either with my voice (primarily) or by using the former in conjunction with Windows' On-Screen Keyboard. This is also my main way of playing games, so if I seem to move a little slower funny in a game, that's why! Speaking of which, cue next section!

My characters as shown from the Menu Screen

per the second point above, some of my characters (and forward speaking, this will apply to most new characters I create as well) use c0bra5's "The Pony Modpack" race mod. Second, I have at least 3 in-progress or completed playthroughs between my currently existing characters:

besides that, between all my characters I have at least 2 or I think 3 Player-made space stations in my universe:

I'm not sure what else to say about my in game exploits, but if I think of anything, I'll be sure to add it here! Thanks for reading this info dump!

If all else fails, please do not hesitate to reach out to our friendly neighborhood Fandom representative User:Moviesign. Just try your best to get a hold of me first, okay? I don't want to generate extra work for him.

Footnotes

[*]which is quite fun when a Guild Admin on a very big server like The Coding Den neglects rule number one of avoiding social engineering attacks. That is, no matter how urgent anyone says it is, don't rush anything involving security, ESPECIALLY not access control and authentication related matters. Otherwise, this could be the result:

ALLLLL the pings!

ALLLLL the pings!

(please make no mistake: I cannot and I do not, in any way, blame the admin here. As proven time and time again, including recently by Jim Browning's YouTube, anyone can fall for a well executed social engineering attack. I forgave them at the moment they accepted responsibility for it, so please keep things constructive if you comment on the gist I linked above)
